Moving Crews for Ashburn, VA

Ashburn sits just east of Sterling down Route 7, and our trucks roll into Brambleton, Broadlands, Ashburn Village, and One Loudoun most weeks of the year. This is the heart of Loudoun’s newer-build sprawl: garage-front townhomes three and four stories tall, end-unit single-family homes, and the apartment and condo blocks tucked around One Loudoun’s shops and offices. Dylan grew up a few miles from here, so our crew knows which of these communities run tight HOA move-in windows and which ones want a certificate of insurance on file before the ramp ever touches the curb.

The other thing about Ashburn is Data Center Alley. The corporate and tech relocation churn around the data-center corridor means we book a lot of weekday loads for engineers and contractors heading in or out on short notice. Those jobs reward a crew that shows up uniformed, wraps the furniture properly, and gets back on Loudoun County Parkway before the afternoon backs up toward the Greenway.

What We Handle Around Ashburn

Most Ashburn moves we run are three-level townhomes, which means real stair-carry work: tall headboards angled around landings, treadmills and Peloton bikes off finished basements, and refrigerators down from second-floor kitchens in the newer layouts. We bring eight trucks and roughly twelve full-time movers, all on our own payroll, so the same Son Movers crew that quotes your job is the one that loads it. Our two-mover hourly runs $169/hr with blankets, dollies, and tools included; a 1-bedroom apartment near One Loudoun typically lands in the $700–$1,040 band, a 3-bedroom Broadlands townhome in the $1,960–$2,880 range.

  • HOA gatehouse access and reserved-window scheduling in Brambleton and Ashburn Village
  • Three-story townhome stair-carries with proper landing protection
  • Same-week corporate and tech relocations along the data-center corridor
  • One Loudoun apartment and condo moves, including COI paperwork when required

Ashburn Reviews

★★★★★

“We moved my mother out of her Broadlands townhome into a smaller senior apartment, and that kind of move is emotional more than it is heavy. The crew was patient with her, let her decide what went and what got donated, and wrapped the things she cared about most with extra care. They never once made her feel rushed. Worth every penny and then some.”

“One Loudoun high-rise, fifth floor. Freight elevator, COI, reserved dock, all the building hoops. Son Movers cleared every one of them and the move ran like clockwork.”

“Big Great Falls house with a long gravel drive and a lot of antiques. I was nervous about the breakables but the crew brought extra blankets and a custom crate for the marble-top table. Three trucks worth of stuff and they kept an inventory sheet so nothing got lost in the shuffle. The 3-mover rate was higher per hour but they got it done in half the days a smaller crew would've needed, so it actually came out cheaper.”

FAQ

Can you work around the HOA move-in rules in Brambleton or Broadlands?
Yes. A lot of the Ashburn communities only allow moves in certain windows and want a certificate of insurance before you reserve the elevator or gate. Tell us the community when you book and we'll have the COI ready and schedule inside whatever window your HOA sets.
We're relocating for a data-center job on short notice. How fast can you move us?
We see a steady flow of corporate and tech relocations around the corridor, so we keep weekday slots open for exactly this. Call us at (888) 711-4778 with your dates and we can usually get a crew on the books within the week.
Our Broadlands townhome has the kitchen on the second floor. Is that a problem?
Not for us. Those reverse and stacked layouts are everywhere in Ashburn's newer builds. Our movers carry the fridge and pantry contents down the stairs on dollies with the landings padded, and we factor the stair-carry into the estimate up front so there's no surprise.
